Colin Dearth

Colin Holt Dearth is a photographer, a motorcycle riding poet, and a former paratrooper. His images capture and chronicle the awkward beauty and the everyday madness of this life’s journey one picture at a time. For over forty years this fascination with the capture of eclectic images, culled from the common and often portrayed in the abstract, has lead from one adventure to the next. From polaroid cameras, 35 mm cameras, to a serendipitous find of brand new digital camera by the side of the road, and the advent of the iPhone; it has all been aimed at a common purpose: to experience and process the images of our existence from a new angle and with an open eye in search of the genuine. The guiding principal being that there is glory out there from the gutter to the stars.
